For this Taipei specialty coffee tour I decided to skip the most known cafés like Rufous Coffee, The Lobby Of Simple Kaffa and Fika Fika. You can find them on many big coffee blogs, so no need to write about it. I used Instragram as my tour guide and went to the most Instagrammable cafés.
During my trip I was impressed by all the different looking cafés. So many different concepts. I was also surprised by the opening times of the specialty coffee shops. Some of them open from midday till in the evening. I think Taiwanese have a different coffee routine than me. I was wondering where people get there morning cup, but I’ve seen many people buying their morning coffee at 7-eleven or other random place that opens from the early morning.
1. FUJIN TREE 353
Cosy café with outside space to sip coffee. Located in Songshan district next to the Songshan airport and Minquan Park. Cute shop next door which is part of Fujin Tree.
Sipped: Cold brew

Metro: Brown line (Songshan Airport)
Opening times: every day from 09:00 – 21:00
2. ALL DAY ROASTING COMPANY
Industrial looking café not far from Fujin Tree. Was missing a bit of a vibe here, but I also realized that if you enter a café at the opening time it’s pretty empthy for some time. It was also the coldest and greyest day of my trip, so that din’t help either. Coffee was okayish. Had better Kenyan filters in my life. I missed the juicy fruity flavors.
Sipped: Kenya filter.
